Transfers between stores

Sending stock to another outlet and receiving it there.

Transcript

Pack a box of stock for another outlet, send it from the scanner, and check it in at the other end.

0:00 Introduction

Sometimes one store has stock that another store needs. In this episode we pack a box at Main Street, send it to Harbor Mall, and check it in at the other end.

0:11 Choosing your store

This scanner belongs to someone who works at more than one store. The card at the top shows which store you are working in, and a Change link beside it.

We are standing in the stock room at Main Street, so we tap Change, and choose Main Street.

0:27 Sending stock

Now tap Transfers.

There are two tabs. Incoming shows boxes on their way to this store. Outgoing shows boxes this store has sent. Tap New transfer to pack one.

At the top is the store the box is going to. Here there are only two stores, so it is already Harbor Mall. If you have more, tap it to choose.

Now scan the items going into the box. Two hoodies in size M.

And one in size L.

Each item is listed with how many are going. The plus and minus buttons change a quantity, and the bin button removes an item. The scanner also shows how many you have on hand.

You can add a note for the people at the other end.

At the bottom, Save draft keeps the box for later. When it is packed, tap Send, which shows the number of units.

The transfer is sent. The stock has left Main Street, and the message tells Harbor Mall where to find it. Tap Done.

Outgoing now lists the transfer as sent. Tap it to see what is in the box.

You can see the items, and the note. While nothing has been received, you can still cancel the transfer, and the stock goes back on your shelf.

1:46 Receiving at the other store

The box travels. At Harbor Mall, someone with their own scanner checks it in. We will switch the store here so you can see that side.

Tap Transfers. The transfer is waiting under Incoming, and it says which store it came from. Tap it.

This is the receiving screen. It shows how many units were sent, the note, and each line, waiting to be checked in.

Open the box and scan what is in it.

The size M line is complete. Now the size L.

All three units are verified. If you trust the box, the Receive all button checks everything in without scanning. Here we tap Receive.

The scanner confirms the units will be added to stock at Harbor Mall. If something is missing, the shortage is recorded against the sending store. Tap Receive.

The units are now in stock at Harbor Mall, and the transfer is finished.

In the next episode, we record damaged, stolen and found stock.
