Ring up a sale on the register: scan or tap products, check the cart, take cash and hand back the receipt.

In this episode we ring up a sale from start to finish: adding products, checking the cart, taking cash, and handing over the receipt.
0:10 The sell screen
This is the sell screen. Your store's name and logo are at the top, with the outlet and register underneath.
On the left are your products. Each tile shows the price and how many are in stock here. The coloured edge tells you the department.
On the right is the cart. It is empty for now.
0:30 Adding products
The quickest way to add a product is to scan its barcode. The scanner types into the scan box, so you never need to click it first.
The hoodie is in the cart. Scan the same item again and the quantity goes up.
You can also tap a product tile. Here is a bike tune up, which is a service, so it shows no stock count.
To change a quantity, use the plus and minus buttons on the line. Let's take one hoodie off again.
1:00 Checking the total
Underneath the cart you can see the subtotal, the sales tax and the total. The green pay button always shows the amount due.
1:09 Taking cash
When the customer is ready, tap Pay, or press F12 on a keyboard.
The amount due is at the top left. Choose how the customer is paying. We'll take cash.
The register suggests the exact amount and the next round notes. The customer hands us one hundred and fifty dollars, so we tap that amount. When the payment covers the total, the sale completes by itself.
1:34 The receipt
The sale is saved. The change to hand back is shown in large green numbers, so nobody has to do mental arithmetic.
The receipt carries your store's logo and details. Print it, or email it to the customer.
Then tap New sale, and you're ready for the next customer.
